“The one thing that matters is that we always say
“Yes” to God whenever we experience Him.”

Hello There!

It has been about three months now that our first newsletter was e-mailed to you. Thank you to those who gave us encouraging feedback about the newsletter. And we apologize to those who could not view some of the photos. We’re working on it! Remember, you can contact us at: eugene.yen@theorderedsteps.com

The students just had their graduation, and the campus is now quiet as most of the students have left. Yen is still busy preparing for classes and updating class notes. Eugene is still bust with the IT and Finance. Eugene has handed over the job of doing the accounts to a colleague, and that has freed him a little more, enabling him to work the ‘normal’ 40 hours a week that people usually work!

The Ordered Steps Website

We are excited to report that we are a step closer to the launch of our website, thanks to our team members, Tien Ming and Woon Bing. Also on board to help us is Yen’s long-time friend from secondary school, Tania. With this very able team, we are sure the website and future newsletters will be poised to encourage and challenge you in a bigger way.

Cheryl’s Visit

Cheryl (Eugene’s sister) spent 2 weeks with us and we trust she had a ball of a time here… walking up hills, smelling flowers, and taking photos in the rain. Thanks to Kathy for taking time off work to show Cheryl around!

A New Vehicle

Our Honda Accord 1986 which we bought second-hand in 2003 has served us well. But we thought it was time for a ‘new’ second-hand car. Thus we went car-hunting in Auckland and bought a really nice and reliable Toyota Corolla 1990. The purchasing of the car was really divine timing!

Going Home for a Break

We’ll be back in Malaysia from end December to early February for a holiday-cum-work trip. We hope to catch up with as many people as possible when we’re back, and to eat as many roti canai as possible!

The year 2005

We are pondering about what 2005 holds for us in terms of our jobs. It has been a challenging year for us here at the Bible Collage, and we have been thinking really hard and long about our next move. Please pay for us concerning this.

The photo on the left is Yen (in the middle) with Carley (co-founder and administrator of the Collage - far left), and some of the students on a warm, lovely spring day.

Future Plans for India

We are planning for another trip to India in 2005. Please pray that we will make the right contacts and everything will fall into place for us to get a little closer of our vision to live and minister in India.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
